There are three common causes of arthritis of the foot and ankle.
Osteoarthritis or Arthritis

It is a systemic disease, not local like osteoarthritis. It is a systemic rheumatic disease that affects many joints at a young age when the immune system is affected. As a result, the cartilage become disrupted and tissue loss occurs.
